Ladysmith Rotary Presents:
THE 16th ANNUAL GARDEN TOUR, SHOW AND SALE

Date: Sunday May 26, 2013
Show and Sale at ‘Aggie’ Hall (1st Ave. & Symonds St.): Open 9am–2:30 pm
Tickets for Garden Tour: $15 (price includes garden pass, program and map.)

The self-guided tour of 8 gardens offers both the creations of local gardeners, and an opportunity to learn from these outdoor enthusiasts. This year’s tour ranges from clever in-town gardens that maximize the available space to a beautifully landscaped acreage in Cedar By the Sea.

Plan on visiting the Ladysmith Community Gardens (High St. & 2nd Ave.) between 1 and 3 P.M on the day of the tour. This year, the L.C.G. are featuring 'demonstration' gardens and special poster boards that explain different gardening techniques. L.C.G. members will be available to talk with you about composting, greenhouses, pruning, and other garden issues.

Watch an artist at work! Local artists will be present at each garden to enhance your viewing experience and answer your questions about their creations and techniques.

While picking up your garden pass and map at the Aggie" Hall, take time to enjoy the delicious continental breakfast available from 9:00 – 11:30 AM for only $4.00!

Local, garden-related businesses will offer their products for sale and answer your questions on gardening and landscaping at Aggie Hall from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Booths with a variety of handicrafts will also be on display.

A slide presentation on “Gardens and Flowers” will run continuously at Aggie Hall, and the “Ladysmith Singers” choral group will be performing from 9:45 to 10:15 AM.

Don’t forget to buy your Garden Tour Raffle Tickets! This year, the popular raffle features 3 great prizes - a brushed silver patio heater, two cedar lawn chairs and a set of Mission wind chimes. Raffle tickets are available now from Ladysmith Rotary members and at the Hall on the day of the Garden Tour. Raffle Draw: 2.30 pm at Aggie Hall.

The Rotary Garden Tour is a wonderful opportunity for gardeners of all skill levels to visit and admire gardens otherwise unavailable to them. Many visitors will benefit by finding fresh ideas and renewed enthusiasm for their own gardens. The tour has been carefully constructed so that there is ample time for you to visit all 8 gardens. Just follow the directions on the map provided!
PS. Don’t forget to bring your camera, water and sunscreen!

Favorite kids' theme, the popular "Ladysmith Kids' Pirates Day" June 1st.
Celebrating the popular activities our community's children have enjoyed over the past 5 years, this special day will include our popular local and invited pirates, face painting, kid's crafts, bull head derby, food, an interactive musician and family harbour tours. Partnering with the LDBA and LaFF, we will continue to have pirate day promotions during the week before the festival and the popular pirate map that draws the young pirates up town to search for treasures at all the participating stores & businesses.
