Employer Seminar #4: TogetherBC Poverty Reduction Strategy Employer Actions

Join Minister Sheila Malcolmson as she shares the newly announced TogetherBC Poverty Reduction Strategy with a focus on the latest employment actions!

Following an extensive amount of public and community engagement, the Provincial Government of BC will be announcing new recommended actions in their TogetherBC Poverty Reduction Strategy.

Minister of Social Development and Poverty Reduction, Sheila Malcolmson will be presenting an overview of the newly released TogetherBC Strategy with a focus on the recommended actions employers can take to support poverty reduction with their employees and in the community.

We will also have a presentation from Bonaventure Support Services to learn about their services available that support employees with diversabilities.

This session is the fourth in a series of Employment Seminars as identified in the Town of Ladysmith’s Community Together to End Poverty Hw-nuts’-ulwum Strategy utilizing funds from the Union of BC Municipalities Poverty Reduction Planning and Actions Grant.

This session will offer a presentation with a Q&A followed by a complimentary networking lunch.
