LADYSMITH MARITME SOCIETY: Our most popular events of the summer are Dine On The Dock, happening every other Friday, starting in May and runs to the first weekend of September. Bar opens at 5:00 p.m. and dinner is at 6:15 p.m.
These are fun times on the dock, and interestingly, we always have a sunny evening! At each event we feature a guest chef from a local restaurant who caters a dinner at the Welcome Centre and on our Social Dock. Menus range from BBQ ribs to pulled pork, and always include a vegetarian option.
Cost is $18 and there is a cash bar.

KINSMEN CLUB OF LADYSMITH: On Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 10 am to 2 pm, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ladysmith 2101 are hosting a fund raiser for the Adventure Playground at Transfer Beach, a project of the Ladysmith Kinsmen.
We are working with Island Documents Storage & Shredding and their goal is to help businesses and individuals keep identity theft at bay by the safe destruction of sensitive documents. They have worked with other groups such as United Way, Saanich Police Department, BCAA, and Alexa’s Bus, just to name a few. They have help raise funds for Salvation Army and several Rotary clubs, and provides a great service to the community.
Island Documents Storage & Shredding will provide a 5 ton truck and someone to be with the vehicle to do the shredding. They have a confidentiality agreement for each client to sign at the event.
The Fraternal Order of Eagle will be on hand to direct traffic, and if necessary carry any heavier boxes if desire. There will be a hotdog/hamburger stand with our renowned burgers, and entertainment.
The minimum donation is $10 for a banker’s size box or approximately 20 lbs of paper.
Come out on Sunday, June 28th, have your sensitive documents shredded, have lunch and lets get the playground completed for the children of Ladysmith.
