Arts on the Avenue Festival / Art Jam

Welcome to our 26th Annual Arts on the Avenue Festival!

We are celebrating art, all kinds of art, on August 24th, 2024 with our evening Art Jam and August 25th, 2024 with out Arts on the Avenue Market. 

It all takes place on First Avenue Ladysmith. Art Jam  takes place from 4 PM-8 PM and is designed as a fun family event on a Saturday evening in August.  We encourage people to bring the family and enjoy downtown Ladysmith, and art. Art Jam will include a paint competition, live music, kids area and interactive art stations for the whole family to enjoy.

Early on Sunday morning, artists gather with coffee in one hand and original art in the other, ready for you.  This festival art market is an art collector’s dream.  Wander the street and see what artists have brought this year. From original paintings, jewelry, fabric art, carving, Indigenous-made art and more, you will not be disappointed.  The air is filled with music, the streets are lined with art and there is a kids’ art space where young artists create their own one-of-a-kind work to take home! The market on Sunday is from

10 AM-4 PM.

Curious where you can eat while visiting Ladysmith? During the festival the Ladysmith Lions Club Snack Shack will be onsite. As well, we have so many great local restaurants you can visit. Click the link here to get a google map and list of local restaurants that are open either Saturday and Sunday. We will also post a list at the event. Plan to grab a snack, we have a picnic area under two tents (by the library) where you can bring your takeout and still enjoy the festival.
