OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Hans On Athletic Therapy, we believe that athletic therapy is not just about treating injuries, but about empowering our clients to take control of their own health and well-being. We prioritize finding the root cause while providing education and prevention to help our clients achieve long-term results. Although the name Athletic Therapy may be confusing to some, rest assured that Athletic Therapy is for everyone, not just athletes! Whether you love to garden, knit, play sports, hike, work a physically demanding job, or work at a desk, athletic therapy is right for you!

OUR EXPERTISE

Our athletic therapist has years of experience in treating a wide range of conditions, from acute injuries, concussions, headaches and migraines, to chronic pain and post-surgical rehabilitation. We stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques to provide the best possible care to our clients.

Athletic therapy uses a variety of treatment styles and often gets mixed up with physiotherapy and “trainers”. Although we do work heavily with sports teams for pre-game taping, and first responder game day coverage, our skill set goes far beyond. As Athletic Therapists we focus on musculoskeletal (muscles, bones, joints) injuries, biomechanics, and exercise based rehab to ensure you get back to what you love doing fast, while trying to ensure the problem doesn’t continue! We use a wide variety of manual techniques including, but not limited to, massage, PNF and joint mobilization.

OUR APPROACH

We take a holistic approach to athletic therapy, addressing not only the physical aspects of injury and rehabilitation but also the emotional and mental components. We believe that a positive attitude and a supportive environment are key to achieving success.
