World Hunger Day

World Hunger Day, founded by The Hunger Project in 2011, is observed every May 28th to raise awareness about the more than 820 million people living in chronic hunger and to encourage action to bring this to an end. Ladysmith restaurants are really stepping up with dedicated activities on May 28th! Maya Norte is dedicating their amazing Bean and Queso Taco to the cause and Roberts Street Pizza is contributing the sales from their lunchtime pizza slices on that day! Throughout the week, Zack’s Lounge is hosting a donation box and for every $5 or more you could be entered to win a gift card! Fox and Hounds are also hosting a donation box and auctioning off a night out for two! So get out and support your local businesses and contribute to a great cause!
