The Tourism Cowichan Society (TCS) is the new destination marketing association for the region. We have developed a multi-level tactical campaign to bring business to the valley and new dollars to the marketing budget.
The current $120,000 annual budget will be matched with an additional $138,000 from Destination BC. This, alongside stakeholder investment, will substantially increase the capabilities of the marketing reach and effectiveness in just the first year alone.
Strategic alliances with Tourism Vancouver Island, Destination BC and Tourism Victoria are being formed, and other funding options, such as the Municipal Regional District Tax, are being explored.
