Ladysmith Residents Association RCMP Town Hall

March 17 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Ladysmith Residents Association (LRA) will host its 2nd Annual RCMP Town Hall on Tuesday, March 17 at the Eagles Hall, 921 First Avenue. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the event beginning at 7:00 p.m. All Ladysmith residents are encouraged to attend.

Each year, the Ladysmith RCMP establishes policing priorities and crime-reduction initiatives aimed at improving community safety – and public input plays a key role in shaping those efforts. Last year’s survey helped shape the 2025/2026 performance priorities, which included enhanced road safety, improved police visibility and community relations, relationship-building with Indigenous communities, reconciliation, accountability, employee and member wellness and training, and leadership and governance.

“Input from the community is a key piece of feedback before we set new initiatives,” says Detachment Commander Staff Sergeant Trevor Busch. “We want to focus our efforts on what matters most to residents.”

This years Community Consultation survey closed February 27. At the March 17 Town Hall, Staff Sergeant Busch will present this year’s results and outline how they will guide local policing priorities for the coming year. He will also be available to answer questions from attendees. Information about the Block Watch program will also be shared.

The Ladysmith Residents Association is a non-profit society dedicated to promoting the interests of Ladysmith residents through activities that encourage information sharing, fostering community engagement, enhancing connections, and advocacy on local issues.
