Chopstix Salon is a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon established in year 2000. Chopstix is now located at 740 First Ave., right in the heart of downtown Ladysmith, above the Ladysmith Library. Our stylists have been trained by Darlene Munn, the founder and former owner of Chopstix, who is a national educator for Paul Mitchell and has trained and taught extensively over the past 40+ years, working in many hair shows across Canada as well as the U.S. We believe that continuous advancement in training and skills is essential to being an exceptional stylist and that it is our dedication to education that sets us apart. Every team member conveys their own abilities and personality to the salon. We offer all professional hair care services, skilled barbering, as well as esthetics services for the face including facial waxing, lash & brow tinting, lifts and lamination, and eye lash extensions. We use, recommend and sell only Paul Mitchell products.

SMOOTHING

HAIR CUTS

Our hair cut prices vary based on the time required for the length and thickness of hair or complexity of the cut, and include a hair wash with premium products, relaxing scalp massage and professional styling to finish the experience.
COLOR
We offer a full range of professional coloring services including grey coverage, dimensional blonding, balayage, foils, vivid color work, color corrections and glossing treatments. We use a high-performance color line known for its rich pigments, long-lasting results and conditioning ingredients that protect and strengthen the hair during the coloring process. Our formulas deliver vibrant, customizable shades -from natural to bold- while maintaining the hair’s health, shine and integrity. We specialize in color correction and require a free consultation to assess the hair before booking this service to make sure the correct amount of time is reserved.
LASH EXTENSIONS
We offer eyelash extensions that are weightless, soft and seamlessly attached. Natural, full or glamour sets, all tailored to your preferred length and thickness. Lashes are carefully applied to each natural lash to amplify the length and volume of your lashes, instantly making your eyes bigger and brighter. We use a medical grade adhesive that has worldwide regulation approval.
BARBER
Zakk, our super friendly barber, comes from a family history of 125 years of barbering and truly loves his craft and his clients. Formerly from Toronto, Zakk specializes in barber style fades, clipper and scissor work, beards, kid’s cuts & designs, and great conversation!
