DESCRIPTION:New paintings by two artists who create uplifting\, serene images that bring hope\, joy & a moment’s escape. \nAbout Esther Robison:\nEsther Robison has always been interested in the Arts. Ever since she memorized the color chart in the first grade\, she has been creating. Once she retired\, Esther was inspired with the discovery of acrylics and pursued her dream of painting–now with the time to escape\, study\, experiment and find her style. On Gabriola Island\, she met like-minded artists and became a founding member of the art collective\, Group of Several. \nAbout Barbara Hague:\nBarbara’s formal art training came through an Art major while pursuing a degree in Education at the University of Alberta. This was further augmented throughout the years with university and community art courses. Her career in Art Education further developed her passion for the arts and helped her recognize her own need to follow the creative process. With retirement came the time and space to focus on her own love of painting.\nAs a long-time “West Coaster” and a resident of Gabriola Island\, Barbara is constantly stimulated by the beauty of her surroundings. She uses her camera to record images which are often used as inspirations for her paintings. \nBoth artists will be on-site during this special 10 day exhibition. \n  \n \n  \n
