The Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce hosted its 14th Golf Classic on Friday as a Memorial Tournament in honour of Brian Marshall. The sold out event in honour of Brian Marshall, a prominent, well respected member of our business community left participants and attendees happy and energized after a day of friendly competition and networking. The event, held at the Cottonwood Golf Course brought together local business leaders, community members, and golf enthusiasts for a day filled with camaraderie, excitement, and support for the local economy.
The tournament attracted a diverse field of participants with the common goal of fostering relationships and promoting economic growth, the golf tournament created a platform for meaningful interactions and networking opportunities. Participants took advantage of the relaxed environment to forge new business connections and strengthen existing ones, furthering the collaborative spirit of the community.
In addition to the on-course action, the Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament offered various engaging activities to enhance the overall experience. Participants and attendees had the opportunity to participate in skill challenges, such as a putting contest, the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests, a Car / $20,000 Hole in One sponsored by Chamber Member A&W, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

This year our Memorial Golf Classic is in memory of Brian Marshall. Partial proceeds of the tournament will be going towards a memorial bench in honour of Brian. This Memorial was sponsored by 5 of his closest friends, Brian Childs, Luke Kolk, Wayne Richmond, Blaine Froats and Gerry Clarke. Brian was a close friend to many and a supporter of everything Ladysmith! His absence in the business community is sorely missed.
