DESCRIPTION:Weekend Harbour Tours Aboard Our Heritage Boat Maritimer  \nWe’re excited to offer harbour tours again beginning July 26\, 2025 aboard the Maritimer\, a restored 17-foot former deep-sea Davidson lifeboat. \nA harbour tour is a fun activity for everyone! Grab your family and friends and head out for 90 minutes on the water\, as you listen to stories of local history\, observe otters\, seals\, and jellyfish in their natural habitat\, and watch eagles\, herons\, and cormorants soar overhead or dive for fish. \nThe harbour tours start from Ladysmith Government Dock and tour Ladysmith Harbour for approximately 90 minutes. \nOur boats are operated by qualified LMS Volunteers. At all times\, the safety of our volunteers and patrons is paramount. It is important to us that passengers feel comfortable\, safe and relaxed during harbour tours. Our tour boat operators are certified tour boat skippers and our deckhands have many years of experience on the water. All skippers and deckhands are certified in marine first-aid. Tour boats are equipped with all safety equipment mandated by Transport Canada. DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our 27th Annual Arts on the Avenue Festival! We are celebrating art\, all kinds of art\, on August 24th\, 2025 with our Arts on the Avenue Market. It will be bigger and better this year!. It all takes place on Ladysmith historic 1st Avenue.  Early on Sunday morning\, artists gather with coffee in one hand and original art in the other\, ready for you.  This art market is an art collector’s dream.  Wander the street and see what artists have brought this year. From original paintings\, jewelry\, fabric art\, carving\, Indigenous-made art and more\, you will not be disappointed.  The air is filled with music\, the streets are lined with art and there is a kids’ art space where young artists create their own one-of-a-kind work to take home! The market on Sunday is from 10 AM-4 PM. ​Curious where you can eat while visiting Ladysmith? During the festival the Ladysmith Lions Club Snack Shack will be onsite. As well\, we have so many great local restaurants you can visit.Click the link here to get a google map and list of local restaurants that are open either Saturday and Sunday. We will also post a list at the event. Plan to grab a snack\, we have a picnic area under two tents (by the library) where you can bring your takeout and still enjoy the festival.
