DESCRIPTION:Canada Day 2022 Celebrations\nLadysmith\, June 17\, 2022 – The Town of Ladysmith is pleased to return to our annual Canada Day celebrations at Transfer Beach Park following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. \nOn Canada Day\, we come together to celebrate and shine a light on our country’s diversity\, inclusion and whatever it is that makes you proud! \nNew for 2022\, the festivities kick-off in the morning with a free pancake breakfast hosted by the Ladysmith Kinsmen Club. \nThe official ceremony begins at 11 am at the ampitheatre with the dignitaries welcome. \nThe Town is once again grateful to the Stz’uminus Young Wolves Dancers who will be performing as part of the event. \nSettle into your seats for live music starting at 11:30 am featuring Nate Harris followed by Robbie Hancock. \nAs part of the celebrations\, we will be offering cupcakes from the Old Town Bakery. \nIn addition to the celebrations\, the community is invited to tour the park as view some of the recent improvements. \nThe Spray Park was recently refurbished with a new rubber surface as part of a BC Tire Stewardship grant. \nThe Town also has completed work on the Transfer Beach public washroom and picnic shelter upgrades. \nWe acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage. \nFor the latest news and updates\, visit the Town’s website at www.ladysmith.ca\, as well as Facebook\, Twitter and Instagram. \nYou can also receive up-to-date information in your email inbox by subscribing to the Town’s newsletter.
