SUMMARY:Ladysmith Maritime Society Harbour Tours
DESCRIPTION:The Ladysmith Maritime Society is pleased to offer guided tours of the Harbour during summer months in our restored lifeboat\, Maritimer. \nThousands of people have enjoyed a 90-minute cruise\, listening to stories of the local history\, viewing eagles\, seals\, otters\, cormorants\, starfish\, jellyfish and other wildlife along the way. As part of the fun\, your skipper will take you to where you can “Cross the Line” … the 49th Parallel that is! Don’t forget to stop in at the Marina Office to purchase a T-shirt to prove it. \nMaritimer can accommodate up to 10 people and our skippers are Transport Canada-certified. \nSchedule\nJuly & August public tours operate Wednesday through Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Tours are by reservation\, on a first-come\, first-served basis. If you wish to reserve a spot\, call our Marina Office at 250-245-1146. \nCharter Tours\nWith a minimum of 6 people\, you can enjoy a personalized tour on the Maritimer with one of our experienced skippers. These tours are available at times other than the public tour schedule (above). \nCall 250-245-1146 to reserve your tour. If necessary\, leave a message\, and a skipper will return your call to confirm. \nCost\n\n$15 per person\n$40 maximum for family of 4 or more (max of two over 15 years old)\n\nWe hope you enjoy your tour!

SUMMARY:Dine on the Dock: Hawaiian Luau
DESCRIPTION:Ladysmith Maritime society’s most popular events of the summer are Dine on the Dock\, starts June 1 and runs until August 31. Bar opens at 5:00 p.m. and dinner is usually served at 6:15 p.m. \nThese are fun times on the dock\, and interestingly\, they always have a sunny evening! The chefs from the Oyster Bay Café cater each dinner at the Welcome Centre and on our Social Dock. Menus range from lasagne to BBQ ribs and always include a vegetarian option. Although you line up for your food it is not a buffet. Please consider others when filling your plate. \nWith the ever-growing popularity of these evenings\, for 2018 we’ve added two more events in June and July. What could be better than delicious food\, music\, great company . . . all as you dine watching the sun set over Oyster Bay Harbour! \nTickets sell-out quickly\, so we recommend that you purchase yours at least a week ahead\, or buy in advance for the whole season!  Cost is $20 per person and there is a cash bar.
