VISION

The Ladysmith Chamber is broadly recognized as a preferred community partner and as the advocate for business.

MISSION

To promote and improve local business.

Our Established Mandates:

To enhance and advance the commercial, industrial, civic and general trade interests of the Ladysmith and its surrounding area
To undertake an active leadership role in the community by initiating, coordinating, and developing programs for the benefit of the business community
To encourage communication between private and public sectors, business and labour
To be a representative of the business community and speak on behalf of the business community to municipal, provincial and federal governments

Since its establishment in 1930, the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce has been a valuable resource and support network to the local business community. While Chamber membership offers important benefits such as group insurance and discount programs, the role and responsibilities of the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce involves much more.

Trent Kaese

Director

Trent Kaese and his father were the official ground breakers behind the Cottonwood Golf Course development in 1995. They were responsible for the design of the golf course as well as the construction. Some of Trent’s favourite memories are from the first hand shaping of the golf course by hitting golf ball from potential tee boxes to where a fairway should be and walking down the fairway cutting trees down to open up the fairway.

“I am sure everyone wishes they could carry a chainsaw with them while golfing” claims Trent. Managing a golf course has provided many great adventures for Trent and his family such as the enjoyment he gets from the excited guests participating in charity events, during Men’s and Ladies Nights, and as guests of Cottonwood members.
